Ouch! Author Michael Wolff slams Trump over book criticism

21 Enero 2018

Obscurity is a threat to Michael Wolff no longer.

"Trump ended with: ".to President of the United States (on my first try).

Author Michael Wolff's sensational book on President Donald Trump's administration is the top seller online.

Originally scheduled for Tuesday, the release of "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" was advanced for Friday, after attempts by President Trump's team to prevent it. The US head of state denounces indeed charges "phony" and points machinations against him.

President Donald Trump was mocked for an on-screen press conference on Jan. 4 (video below). Earlier, he had tweeted: "Thank you, Mr. President".

"Many of our greatest politicians have had psychiatric vulnerabilities", including Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon and Abraham Lincoln, says Ken Duckworth, a psychiatrist and medical director for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. "Losing was winning", the book says. According to the president, he never even gave him a quote.

"It was right in the middle of Trump making these statements and Bannon was gleeful".

"I intend to be here for the whole year", he said. Whether he realized it was an interview or not I don't know. With others, where it looks like someone else is achieving that first, "he attacks the messenger".

Wolff reiterated his belief that it is becoming a widespread view that Trump is unfit for presidency, telling BBC Radio in an interview overnight that it's a "very clear emperor-has-no-clothes effect". It would seem their marriage is based solely on appearances, not a real partnership of any kind. He says he "settled on a version of events I believe to be true". The book also alleges that Chief of Staff John Kelly admitted that he accepted the job of working for Trump, despite the president's uncontrollable nature, so that he could prevent the man from causing a catastrophe. Sanders disputes that, pointing to public photos that show the golf enthusiasts had hit the links over the years.

Trump, in a series of morning tweets, said his Democratic critics and the US news media were bringing up the "old Ronald Reagan playbook and screaming mental stability and intelligence" since they have not been able to bring him down in other ways. The book isn't even in the warehouse yet.

President Trump continues to provide late night hosts with hilarious material. Now he'd probably just order the Department of Justice to get dirt on the guy. Demand for the book has been insatiable since reports of its contents emerged Wednesday. Imagine if we put them in a small box in a small corner of the newspaper or only at the end of a newscast as a minor throwaway. Sometimes, he critiqued the media.
