Trump Praises Bannon Being 'Dumped' by Mercers

"I think that the advice for President Trump hasn't changed". Instead of halting publication, Wolff's publisher accelerated its sale to Friday, due to "unprecedented demand".

Trump dropped Bannon from the White House in August, although the two men remained in touch afterward. The goal is to plot out the GOP policy agenda for this year ahead.

Former Republican U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm, who is running to regain his old seat representing the 11th Congressional District (Bay Ridge-Southwest Brooklyn-Staten Island), is distancing himself from former chief White House adviser Steve Bannon. Every time new allegations have come out about what Donald Trump does or is or says or has done, people stop believing his defenses.

In another section of the book, Wolff writes that Nunberg struggled to explain the Constitution to Trump. The publisher moved up the release by four days. Colbert joked. "I agree with Steve Bannon?".

On Thursday Mr Gingrich echoed Mr Trump's charge that Mr Bannon had "lost his mind". But he is definitely intertwined in the Russia investigation.

KEITH: As he walked away, reporters shouted questions about Michael Wolff's book and about Steve Bannon, the former top White House aide, who Trump has disavowed after his scathing comments in that book.

These remarks play right into the Democrat narrative, especially the remark that the Donald Trump Jr. meeting with Veselnitskaya was "treasonous".

"Sometimes", he wrote, "I have let the players offer their versions, in turn allowing the reader to judge them".

Up to a certain point, I suppose you can almost see how someone might be fooled. Some journalists have also expressed scepticism and pointed to past criticism of Mr Wolff's work.

Former press secretary Sean Spicer told "Good Morning America" on Friday that some of the quotes in the book are true, "but the context in which they are given aren't". Assistants - young women in the Trump uniform of short skirts, high boots, long and loose hair - as well as, in situation-comedy proximity, all the new stars of the show: Steve Bannon, Kellyanne Conway, Reince Priebus, Sean Spicer, Jared Kushner, Mike Pence, Gary Cohn, Michael Flynn (and after Flynn's abrupt departure less than a month into the job for his involvement in the Russia affair, his replacement, H.R. McMaster), all neatly accessible. "Full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that don't exist", Trump tweeted.

Wolff also claimed Trump did not know the word "Brexit" when Wolff interviewed him weeks before the referendum in 2016.

Mika Brzezinski and I had a tense meeting with Trump following what I considered to be a bumbling debate performance in September 2015.

The book's publication this week has prompted a furious response from the White House. The report says the president exploded in front of aides, saying he needed his attorney general to protect him.

It already has cost him a key backer.
