Samsung Galaxy S9 will launch next month at Mobile World Congress

It was mentioned that the company's biggest obstacle for the foldable smartphone was its UX, as reported by ZDNet.

The smartphone is an Amazon exclusive in the country.

Samsung has delivered a worthy contender in the upper mid-range flagship category. It is planning to manufacture final products in November.

There is also detailed information regarding its foldable Smartphones. Some recent renders claim that the flagship would have a fingerprint sensor below its primary camera, similar to the some of the lately launched models including Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+. They also quoted a report by Strategy Analytics who reduced Bixby's market share potential to 5.4 percent by 2022 while its Chinese and US rivals will see theirs rise. Samsung Display will be in charge of manufacturing foldable displays. We are launching the device with metal and glass built in a segment that primarily features metal-built smartphones. That did not happen, of course, as Samsung is much more keen on showing their next hero smartphone at the largest mobile-specific convention event series in the world: Mobile World Congress. That begins in late February - and Samsung's event will likely take place on the 24th or the 25th.

Judging from Samsung's unveiling history, the South Korean tech-giant had unveiled the Galaxy S8 at an 'Unpacked Event' in New York in March last year and started selling the device in April. It delivers better color reproduction than the LCD screen used in Honor View 10, a close competitor of Galaxy A8+. The device can be considered as a watered-down version of the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Samsung Electronics has been leading changes by putting out display technologies that were never seen before.

We also spoke to GBH Insights' Daniel Ives, who said Apple would be "closely watching" how Samsung's folding phone performs. Aside from its chic form factor (we dig the deep black colour option), the A8+ comes with a bunch of cool features including dust and water resistance (It's IP68 certified). "Foldable Smartphones are targeting 'ultra-premium markets' as they surpass both performance and price of current premium Smartphones." said a representative for an industry.

Is Samsung coming back to MWC to offset the iPhone X? Flexible screens have been demoed at trade shows for years, but getting them into a production-ready phone is another matter entirely.
