EPL: Chelsea ease past Huddersfield Town

13 Diciembre 2017

Losing to the Hammers left Chelsea further adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester City, but the Blues returned to winning ways on Tuesday night with a 3-1 victory at Huddersfield Town.

Moses will join an illustrious Nigerian company that includes Shola Ameobi (298 games), Nwankwo Kanu (273 games), Yakubu Aiyegbeni (252 games), John Obi Mikel (249), Joseph Yobo (228) and Victor Anichebe (204).

"I think we had a great game, we had possession and tried to play the ball", Willian told BT Sport.

Of course, doing the business against Huddersfield is all well and good, but Bakayoko will be judged on how he performs against the biggest clubs in both the Premier League and the Champions League.

"I saw a lot of positive things, but one negative was to concede at the end and we must improve in this because it is important to keep clean sheets, for the goalkeeper and the team".

Bakayoko has flattered to deceive in many matches and, since August, plenty of Chelsea supporters have questioned whether selling Matic for the 23-year-old was the right decision.

The Frenchman opened the scoring midway through the first half before Willian made it 2-0 shortly before the interval.

Chelsea's first attempt on target resulted in the opening goal, with Hazard sparking the move which broke the deadlock.

Any faint hopes Wagner's side had of clawing its way back into the game were vanquished five minutes after the restart as Willian teed up Pedro to whip a fine finish into the top corner from 15 yards. The final say was Huddersfield's, however, as Depoitre rose highest to head home fellow substitute Florent Hadergjonaj's teasing cross with what was the last meaningful action of the match.
