Harvey Weinstein seeks treatment as sexual harassment accusations mount

That report was followed by a second article in the New York Times that included accounts from actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie about Weinstein's harassment of them early in their careers.

Paltrow and Jolie were two of multiple women who came forward with similar allegations in the latest New York Times report.

Jolie's alleged encounter with the embattled film executive took place inside a hotel room when her 1998 movie "Playing By Heart" - released by Weinstein's Miramax studio - was released, she told The New York Times as part of a bombshell report published Tuesday. Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances. More than that, it's a failure of leadership from the two top leaders in which the Democratic Party invested itself over the last generation.

"We've had a series of revelations about companies in Silicon Valley - you know, just sexual harassment and sexual assault being, you know, kind of accepted".

Glenn also told HuffPost that emotional abuse is often the most difficult thing to recover from after an instance of violence.

"I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified", Paltrow, 45, told the newspaper. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, have announced plans to donate his campaign contributions to charities. The company's board of directors has strongly denied that it knew about Weinstein's behavior, which allegedly stretched back decades.

She now says that Weinstein, using connections and getting stars like Matt Damon and Russell Crowe to call on his behalf, put his advertising weight upon the story until the paper "gutted" her piece. All victims of sexual abuse contend with immense guilt and shame, but the stigma choking male victims into silence is a unique, suppressive power.

Weinstein is flying to a rehab center in Europe to seek treatment for sex addiction, TMZ reported on Tuesday evening.

Instead of complying with the request, Froelich decided to pursue the story. "Georgina will be with Lisa and others kicking my ass to be a better human being and to apologize to people for my bad behavior, to say I'm sorry, and to absolutely mean it". If you don't come from a lot of money, if you're not some billionaire's daughter, how are you going to afford that lawyer? The third, Higher Heights, is technically nonpartisan, but since it supports African American women running for office, you can bet that the vast majority of that money will help Democrats. He did not explain who "people" are. I do believe that the only reason this came out now is because Harvey wasn't that powerful anymore. "It was very clear to me stated to me that if I say anything, I'll have a slew of lawyers on my back", she said.

So all of the Democrats' leaders from the past decade or more have fumbled their crisis response.
