Control Centre has a plethora of quick toggles, created to allow users to quickly change a few key settings including activating the flashlight, turning off screen rotation and controlling the display's brightness.
For years it has been a doodle to switch off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when you're not using them. That is, if you and all your friends happen to be using iOS devices running iOS 11 or computers running macOS High Sierra.
Of particular interest is the way airplane mode and Bluetooth toggles work. While Apple finally delivered an enterprise class tablet with the iPad Pro, it's taken until iOS 11 for the iPad to get the software features it needs to stand on its own.
Apple is yet to confirm what exactly the technical issue was or when the next patch or update will be rolled out.
This fault was first noticed by Andrea Barisani where he immediately posted a blog on Twitter saying iOS 11 is misleading iPhone users with the connectivity problems and this is really very unfair. I can't say for certain, seeing as how I've never done a survey, but if I had to guess, I'd guess more people turn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on and off than use an Apple Pencil on any given day.
John Motazedi with SNC Squared said, "Realize that this is completely a rewrite of the operating system". This is much easier, as in this case, hackers don't have to lure their victim to click on a malicious link as long as Bluetooth is on.
Apple's official recommendation is "For the best experience on your iOS device, try to keep Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on". It extends battery life and improves cellular connection. So, in iOS 11, it's made it more hard for users to fully disable them.
There's also another tweak called iFile which enable users to delete and tinker file system, and it's important to note that this one can also cause a data error and it will force your device to restore as well.
To do that, you have to go to settings and enter each menu separately to toggle the switch off.
It means even when you turn the features off in your control centre, Location Services, AirDrop, Instant Hotspot and AirPlay will continue to function.
