Apple have confirmed that iOS11 will be released on September 19 for current iPhone users to download. It's probably never happened to you because the iPhone 7 is a perfectly capable phone that can run Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and other apps with ease.
The issue comes down to exactly what you get when you buy an iPhone 8. It'll cost you though - $1000 to be exact.

The phone will be available in Singapore on Nov 3, with prices starting from $1,648 (64GB, without contract) to $1,888 (256GB, without contract).
