The likes of LG, Samsung, Micromax and Vivo have already embraced the new design language.

Today, we can further confirm that Xiaomi is truly an Apple that is rebranded for the Android market and this is thanks to the newly unveiled Mi Mix 2.

Instead of the 6.4-inch 17:9 display of the first-gen Mi Mix, the Mi Mix 2 opts for a 5.99-inch 18:9 FullHD+ (2160x1080p) making its overall footprint smaller and bringing a higher screen-to-body ratio.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is finally official.

The entry level variant with 6GB+64GB will cost RMB 3,299 (Approx Rs32,308), the 6GB+128GB unit will cost RMB 3,599 (Approx Rs35,244), the 6GB RAM+256GB unit will sell at RMB 3,999 (ApproxRs 39,157) and the special edition MI Mix 2 which has a ceramic back with 8GB RAM+128GB storage will cost RMB 4,699 (Approx Rs46,019). The handset sports 12MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor and a 5MP front facial recognition camera.

In addition to Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, the company also announced 'Mi Note 3' smartphone, and the 'Mi Notebook Pro' laptop. Powered by a 3500mAh battery, the device will be available in China from September 12. The 15.6-inch laptop comes with full-HD screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the touchpad for easy unlocking of the laptop. The other variants of 128GB and 256GB storage are priced at CNY 3599 and CNY 3999, respectively.

The standard aluminum Mi Mix 2 comes in black, while the 8GB RAM ceramic Special edition is available in black or white.
