Chelsea will win back-to-back EPL titles — Roar and Against

07 Agosto 2017

Arsene Wenger made a plea for unity to the Arsenal fanbase after another Wembley success against Premier League champions Chelsea in the Community Shield.

Speaking after the game, Wenger said: "I am very happy because we won the trophy that we wanted to win and I believe the quality of the game was good".

The Gunners have thus far managed to offload just three players - Wojciech Szczesny and Yaya Sanogo on a permanent basis and Emiliano Martinez on loan to Getafe.

The arrivals of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette have been welcome editions at the Emirates, but have increased the need for the Gunners to ease the strain on their swollen wage budget.

But United enters the new campaign having finished in sixth place, 24 points behind champion Chelsea.

Asked who he thinks will win the golden boot this season, Owen told the Premier League's official website: "Alexandre Lacazette is a proven goalscorer".

"Every game is a battle in the Premier League, like today". In this case, my staff was very good to avoid this type of injuries'. Once they've said their piece, be sure to chime in with your own EPL predictions in the comments section below.

And while the side from Stamford Bridge has undoubtedly strengthened with the twin signings of Antonio Rüdiger and Alvaro Morata, the Blues may just find their domestic competition too hot to handle as they fight for trophies on multiple fronts.

Chelsea had Pedro dismissed for an untidy lunge on Mohamed Elneny 82 seconds before Kolasinac converted Granit Xhaka's cross, but Wenger felt an Arsenal leveller had long been on the cards, irrespective of any numerical advantage.

The France international arrived from Lyon in a £52million deal last month, on the back of eight successful years in the first team of the Ligue 1 giants. The Community Shield is rarely indicative of what is to come when the serious stuff starts.

Arsenal kick-off the Premier League season at home to Leicester on Friday, before Chelsea travel to Burnley a day later. Four years ago, David Moyes' Manchester United won it and we know how that relationship ended. He claimed league titles at the same stage of his tenure in his last two jobs, with Real Madrid and Chelsea. When there is a traumatic injury, you can do nothing.

And more to the point, is Pep Guardiola the managerial genius he's been made out to be?

Despite the likelihood of losing two of its best players, Everton remains the club best prepared to displace one of last season's top six.

"He is physical very strong, naturally".
