Morata close to finalising Real Madrid exit; trio placed on alert

Ander Herrera has admitted that it is a shame that Manchester United have not been able to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid this summer.

The fee agreed between the two clubs at that time was £29m but the 26-year-old 'keeper would now cost at least double that amount, barring any unlikely swap involving Kroos.

De Gea, too, enjoyed a solid season for Manchester United, particularly in the Premier League as he kept 14 clean sheets in 35 matches while conceding just 29 goals.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are on the cusp of pulling off a coup over Manchester United and Chelsea who were front-runners in getting Morata's signature.

Today CEO Marco Fassone confirmed "it'd be nice to have one from Andrea Belotti, Morata or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. I can't find the words to explain what it means".

Andre Silva has already been brought in from Porto in attack, but Milan are setting their sights on another centre-forward, with three of the top players thought to be available being targeted.

Romelu Lukaku failed to open his account but Marcus Rashford scored twice with Marouane Fellaini, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial all on the scoresheet.

The Spanish striker was so excited about joining United that he went and dyed his hair red for the big unveiling.

He continued: 'He's happy and I know this is going to sound repetitive because I always say the same by David is one of the few keepers who wins you points.

He started his career at Atletico Madrid and a return back to the city could prove too difficult to turn down.

The Spanish striker is destined to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after he went public with a text message row he had with the Italian manager.
